Why I Got Involved In Teaching Water Exercise
I decided it would be interesting to teach one day a week at the YMCA. I had taught swimming and lifesaving and decided water aerobics might fit with my background and interests. I first trained to teach Arthritis classes, then shallow and deep aerobic classes. I have taught a variety of different classes from Multiple Sclerosis to Abmazing and more!
What Motivates Me To Keep In Shape
Being healthy motivates me to keep in shape.
Why My Class Is Unique
I have been training and teaching water aerobics for more than 20 years. I try to incorporate diversified moves that work on all of the muscle groups and joints. I also explain why I do certain exercises and how to maintain good body posture while doing them. I also think it helps to be aware of some of the physical issues participants may have and make suggestions on how they can change a movement or adapt it to better suit their physical challenges.
