Updated 9:27pm: On July 3, 2021 at approximately 6:20 pm, the Des Peres Department of Public Safety received a call for a shooting incident at West County Center. Numerous agencies responded to assist and secure the center. Initial investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between two subjects in one of the stores at West County Center and shots were fired. One subject was struck, was transported to an area hospital, and was later pronounced deceased. The Des Peres Department of Public Safety has requested the Major Case Squad to assist with the investigation.
