NEW FITNESS CENTER GUIDELINES DUE TO COVID-19

Recently St. Louis County Health Department released their official guidelines for reopening fitness centers and pools. The Lodge Des Peres reopened on Monday, June 15, 2020.

At this time, we are limiting admission to Lodge Members and Residents of Des Peres. Residents of Des Peres (non-members) can purchase a daily admission and will need to show their Lodge-issued Resident ID card and pay an entrance fee of $7 per person (2 and younger are free). At this time, residents and members are not allowed to bring non-resident guests. Card payments only; no cash or checks.

As of 6/29/20, we are allowing a limited number of non-residents to purchase a Lodge membership and we will also allow current Lodge members to upgrade to family memberships if requested. Resident ID card for daily admission and Lodge memberships must be purchased at the front desk in the main lobby of The Lodge. Please note: you need to bring a current utility bill and driver’s license in order to prove Des Peres residency if applicable.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

We will be instituting the following operational changes to comply with St. Louis County Department of Public Health guidelines
  • Enter The Lodge through the main entrance using the two side doors and accessible door to separate those entering from those exiting.
  • Face coverings are required for all patrons (age 3 and older) at all times except when exercising, swimming or eating.
  • We will screen and temperature check all patrons who enter the indoor Lodge facility. If you or anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms, has been exposed, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we urge you to please stay home. Our staff will send guests home who are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
  • All guests are required to check in and check out with the front desk staff to ensure facility capacity is not exceeded.
  • Due to restricted capacity, we ask that you limit your Lodge visit to one hour until further notice.
  • There will be no showers, towel service, padlock rentals, basketball rentals or shared magazines until further notice.
  • The sauna and steam room are closed indefinitely per St. Louis County Health Department.
  • Flyers and facility schedules will not be available to take. Please visit our website or take photos of flyers for reference.
  • All Lodge staff will be temperature checked and screened at the beginning of their shifts.
  • 6 feet of social distancing is required throughout the facility for individuals not in the same household.
  • Cardio equipment is spaced to a minimum of 10 feet. Some cardio equipment are available in the gymnasium on court #1.
  • There will be no lost and found. All items left behind for the day will be discarded.
  • Additional staff are scheduled to prioritize disinfecting and sanitizing of all high-touch surfaces and equipment. Additional sanitizing stations are set up in high touch areas.
  • Bring your own refillable water bottles. Bottle fillers are available but drinking fountains are turned off.
  • Lodge Fitness Center FULL Written Plan for St. Louis County Health Department Guideline

INCLUSIVE RECREATION SERVICES - AMERICAN WITH DISABILITIES ACT

Des Peres Parks and Recreation Department invites people with and without disabilities to participate in our programs and events. Please notify us when you register or at least three business days in advance of the program/event date if modifications due to a disability are needed to facilitate your participation and/or if there are medications or allergies of which we should be made aware. If an inclusion support person is needed to assist the program participant with a disability, it may take up to two weeks or more to provide this type of modification. If we are unable to meet your needs, there is a grievance procedure available for ADA concerns. For assistance in arranging modifications for your participation, or to notify us of medical concerns, please contact Terri Johnson, CTRS/CPRP, Executive Director of Municipal Partners for Inclusive Recreation, at 314.835.6157, use Relay Missouri 711 or email her at tjohnson@desperesmo.org to discuss your participation.
